Knitting Club meets in Rm 3.10 at 1.30 on Tuesdays – learn to knit and have a natter to your friends at the same time! We will be knitting hats for the prem baby unit at Ninewells hospital this term.
Puzzle Club is on today at lunchtime from 1.30pm in Room 1-1. We have lots of games you can play on your own or with a small group of friends. All welcome!
RHS Spring Show – March 23rd 2019 – We have been invited to enter the 12-18 section of the Royal Horticultural Spring Show in Scone at the end of March. There are a number of categories for you to enter ranging from cake making and art and craft projects to making wildlife friendly hotels! If you want to know more, are interested in showing off your talents or would like to learn new skills please come and see me.

There is prize money for the winners and you don’t even have to go to the show. We will put in your entry and collect your prize money for you if you are a winner.
Oakbank Primary School are looking for a pupil who would like to volunteer to help coach a netball team. If anyone has a free 5th period on Tuesdays and is interested please can you see. Mr McDougall (Active Schools) in the new P.E building.
GIRLS’ CHOIR – All members of the Girls’ Choir attending the concert at the North Church (directly opposite the cinema) should arrive for just before 2pm, TODAY Tuesday 12th Feb. Full school uniform please.
My World of Work Ambassador Training – A reminder that My World of Work Ambassador training will take place in the library today (Tuesday 12th February) periods 1 and 2. Can all ambassadors please report to the library at the start of period 1.

ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARD CAMP (RYLA) – 2019 Current S5 – The RYLA experience is run as a leadership development course so will be of huge value to participants in their future lives. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate some leadership potential which will be further developed during the camp. The camp is fully funded by the Rotary club. If you are interested, would like more information or an application form, see Mr Kirk in G14. Application deadline is the 28th February 2018.
S2 – SSE Activity Day, Wednesday 6th March; activities and information about apprentice opportunities at SSE – thinking about course choices? Come and find out what kind of apprenticeships are available at SSE (Engineering, Gas Maintenance, Heating & Ventilations, Electrical Installation, Substation Fitters, Overhead Linespersons and Underground Cable Jointers). Girls, don’t be shy! Great opportunities for everyone. Limited places. Please speak to Mrs Martin.
S5 – Applications for Dundee Dental Insight opened on Sunday 10th February and will close Sunday 17th February at 6pm. Further info from Mrs Martin.
S5 – Applications for 2019 Medic Insight weeks at Ninewells Hospital will open on 4th March 2019. Applications are open to S5 pupils interested in applying for Medicine. Dates/contact info available from Mrs Martin or visit the Medic Insight Dundee Facebook page.
S4/5/6 Girls – Girls into Plumbing and Girls into Motor Mechanic Apprenticeships – two separate events, information available from Mrs Martin. Arnold Clark event could lead to a full-time Mechanic Apprenticeship.
