Festive Readaxation Lunch – on Wednesday 9th December the Library and other venues around the school will host a Festive Readaxation event at lunchtime. This is an invitation to bring your lunch, chill out and just read! No tech, no chatter (although book talk is encouraged)….just get comfy and lose yourself in a book. Earn your house points too!

All Pupils – Tomorrow is the last day for entries to the Young Scottish Writers competition. Anyone still wanting to submit an entry should see Mr Kearns as soon as possible. Mr Kearns

All Pupils – Can you guess how many sweets are in the jar? Prefects will be coming round your PSE classes next week to collect your guesses. It is £1 per guess which should be paid via ParentPay. Money collected to be donated to SHIP charity. Closest guess wins the sweetie jar. Good luck!!

All Staff & Pupils – Perth High December Marcothon 2020 – Join our Strava club page: ‘PERTH HIGH DECEMBER MARCOTHON 2020’ for this year’s December Challenge, or pop down to the PE base and we will add you. The challenge is simple, run/walk a minimum of 5k (in one go) every day in December. Earn yourself 1 house point for signing up and completing at least one run and 50 bonus points for your house if you complete the challenge. There will also be a prize for whoever clocks up the highest mileage in the month!

S1/2/3/4/5: Medic Insight Events to look out for next February, March and June 2021 … dates for your diaries! Medic Insight Dundee is a student-led society at the University of Dundee that provides school pupils from Tayside, Perth & Kinross, Angus and Fife with an insight into a career in medicine and other healthcare specialties. They liaise with clinicians within NHS Tayside to organise a vast range of experiences for pupils from S1 to S5. In 2021 they will run an S1-S3 event (for any pupils interested in a healthcare career), an S4 event and an S5 event (both of which are targeted towards those interested in medicine specifically). These events will be run as Covid-friendly versions on an online platform. Please note the upcoming dates for your diaries for now, and Medic Insight will be in touch in the new year with details of how to sign up, how to access the online platform etc. S1-S3 event: Saturday 20th February 2021, 1-4pm S4 event: Saturday 20th March 2021 (time TBC) S5 event: June 2021 (dates TBC)
