FAO Pupils going to South Africa on SATURDAY! – Please can all pupils attend a meeting on Friday at 1.30pm in 1.10 for a final meeting. Full attendance necessary.

Perth Rotary Singing competition – Anyone who has expressed an interest OR is interested in the Perth Rotary singing Competition that takes place on the evening of the 21st February should come and see Mrs Black in the Music Department no later than Monday 12th February with a note of their 2 performance pieces.  Auditions to select the 4 participants to represent Perth High School will take place on Tuesday 13th February.  One song must be a piece of  Musical Theatre and the other a contrasting song (which can still be Musical theatre).

There is a trophy and money  for the winner as well as runner up prizes.  Each participant will receive a certificate.

The competition will have participants from Perth High School, Perth Grammar School St. John’s and UHI, Perth.

All Pupils – K Barbary and D Farmer have a jar of Lovehearts to give away for Valentine’s Day to the person who can correctly guess (or the closest guess under the correct number) how many sweets are in the jar. The jar and the list of numbers available are on display in the DET department. 50p for 1 guess. £1 for 3 guesses. Money raised will go to their YPI charity – Scottish Air Ambulance at Scone. Prize will be given out on Tuesday.

Trip to USA and Canada July 2019 – There are places available on a weeklong trip to New Brunswick, Canada and Maine, USA. The week will be in two parts; Staying at a camp on the Miramichi River in Canada, fishing for Atlantic Salmon. The second half of the week will be hands on conservation efforts on the East Machias river in Maine, USA. All accommodation and food will be free. The cost of the flights will be heavily subsidised. The total cost should not exceed £250 per pupil. There are 6 places available to current S3 / S4 and S5.  Please attend a meeting a 1:40pm in lab 2.13 today (Friday 9th February).
