Pupils – There is a new cricket club starting Tuesday (16th January) lunchtime and is open to S1-S6 pupils. Come along and give it a try! There is a school indoor cricket tournament on the 25th January so you may be selected to play in the tournament if you attend the club.”

South Africa 2018 – Pupils going to South Africa in February are to meet in 1.10 on Friday 12th Jan at 1.30pm. Full attendance please. If you cannot make it please see Mrs McAdam beforehand. Less than 5 weeks to go!

All pupils (aged 11-18) – The Poetry Games (Poetry Competition)

The English Department are promoting a national poetry competition called The Poetry Games. You have to write a poem on what you believe in. The only requirement is that you write about something you’re passionate about. This could be anything!

Some possible ideas for theme are: current affairs, education, society, politics, growing up, environment, love, bullying, social media, war, ambitions…

Some prizes include £1000, £500, an iPad.

Closing date is 16th Feb 2018. Entries have to be submitted through the school. See Miss Hynd in room 4.4 for more details.

ALL SENIOR BUDDIES – There will be no Buddy rota for the next two weeks due to study leave, however, if you would like to volunteer to help during lunchtime in Learning Support and Motozone please give your name to Mrs Park in G28 before end of day on Friday.  Thank you all for your support and best of luck with your prelims.

S1 Football Tournament – Tuesday 23rd January 1.45pm – 3.30pm – All S1 pupils wishing to attend can find a sign-up sheet in the foyer of the new gym, pupils must do this by

Tuesday 16th January.  Pupils are required to bring a change of clothes (PE kit/football kit, boots or trainers).  £1 entry fee.  Any questions speak to Ben Clos or Kieran Forber S3.
