S6 Pupils – I am looking for some S6 pupils who may have a couple of free periods (P4&P5), 1 day per week who could help deliver some sports activity/table tennis to S1 & S2 pupils at Bertha Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to do some volunteering & to be able to add this to your c.v. If you are interested in helping please see Miss Cook in the Active Schools Office. First room on the left in the new PE facility.
All Pupils – We are missing a number of school strips and we are having a ‘Kit Amnesty’. If you have a running vest, school football strip, hockey strip etc please return them to PE as soon as possible. In particular, over 6 pairs of black shorts that accompany the red strips have not been returned since the S4 boys match a couple of weeks ago and we really need them back. In some instances it is reaching the point we no longer have complete strips.
If you feel embarrassed about having held on to kit for so long then you can leave it in the PE classroom or in the room beside the classroom. We just need them back otherwise we will need to send teams out to play matches in bibs and we would rather pupils had nice kit/strips to wear at fixtures.
All Pupils – At one of our Sports Ambassador drop in sessions pupils were keen to get a handball club going. If you would be interested in a handball club please put your name on the list outside my office door, which is the room on the left as you enter the new PE facility.
SIGN CLUB is on in the Library at lunchtime today. Please come along at 1.45 to take part. Note: the Library will be open for Sign Club or silent reading/study only.
