4th Year Temporary Prefects – Duties – Assembly – There will be an assembly during support on Thursday regarding duties during prelims. Anyone who wasn’t a temporary prefect last year who wishes to be is welcome to attend. You will be registered.
All Pupils – Most clubs are back up and running again. Today’s offerings at lunchtime are: Indoor hockey, New Games Hall, Dodgeball, Old Games Hall.
After-School: S3-S6 Netball, New Games Hall, S3-S6 Hockey, Astro-Turf.

All Pupils – A few of our Sports Ambassadors are hosting a drop-in session today at 1.45pm in the PE classroom. If you wish to come along to discuss current clubs and to find out what is on offer, then some of our team will be on hand to chat. If you have new ideas for clubs that you would like us to set up, then we would like to hear your views.

S1 – S6 Tuesday lunchtime Gymnastics Club lead Miss Duncan shall resume on Tuesday the 14th of January. Come along and learn some flips and tricks. All abilities welcome.
S1 this term we are offering an after-school’s judo club in the small gym hall on a Tuesday
16:20 – 17:00. This will be led by former professional judo athlete and one of the school’s active schools coordinator Steph Inglis. Please come along and learn about this Japanese martial art everybody welcome. This club shall start Tuesday 14th of January.

S3-6 – SSE Apprenticeship Activity Day – SSE are hosting apprenticeship activity days in March for pupils interested in the wide range of apprenticeships they offer. The day will be a mix of workshops and taster activities and includes a tour of their Inveralmond training facilities. These opportunities are open to girls and boys interested in apprenticeships, engineering or STEM subjects and aims to give an insight of the opportunities available with SSE. Please give your name to Mrs Martin by Thursday this week if you would like to attend. Places will be confirmed at a later date.
S5&6 – M&G Financials (Prudential) Insight Day – 6th Feb 2020: M&G are a £12 billion investment company operating all over the world with a huge office based in Edinburgh. They are offering a 3 hour workshop event for S5 and S6 pupils who are looking to get into the financial services sector primarily but also accounting, marketing, IT, digital marketing and Tech. The format will be workshops, networking with M&G personnel and a tour of their offices in Edinburgh. Workshops will be led by leading professionals within the firm and you will hear all about their paid work experience and degree apprenticeship opportunities with some possible fast tracks on offer. If you are interested in attending this event, please give your name to Mrs Martin asap.
