S6 pupils, however, WILL have their Remembrance assembly on Friday 9th November during Period 2 as originally planned. ALL S6 pupils and pupils in uniformed organisations, should assemble in front of the school, next to the flagpole, between 10.10 and 10.15am. A short remembrance assembly will take place and at 10.30 the last post will be played by a solo trumpeter. It is hoped that all staff will participate from 10.30 am in their classrooms. Following the ending of the last post, a 2 minute silence will be observed and then a solo piper will play to mark the end of the silence. (If classroom windows are open and the whole school observes this, we should hopefully hear the trumpeter and pipes in classrooms)
The S6 pupils will then lay a wreath at the flagpole. At 10.40, pupils will be dismissed. S6 pupils should have appropriate outdoor clothing on Friday morning. (Bring a raincoat, just in case it rains as we will be outside!)
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
