S4 Pupils – Medic Insight will be running an S4 day event again this year. We are a student run society at the University of Dundee which organises information events and work experience weeks for school pupils interested in a career in Medicine. The S4 day event will take place in the Medical School at Ninewells Hospital from 11 am – 5 pm on Wednesday 18th March 2020.

The event will follow a similar format to previous years. In the first half a series of talks will be given on a variety of medical specialties (including Emergency Medicine, Surgery and General Practice), as well as talks about being a Medical Student & Foundation Doctor. In the afternoon the pupils will rotate around a number of workshops.

Registration for the event will open on Monday 10th February at 9 am, and places will fill up on a first come, first served basis. The registration form can be accessed through the following link: https://forms.gle/TcNw2mGWBeHN3Xz46 . We will post this link, along with other updates, to our Facebook page “Medic Insight Dundee”.

S5Medic Insight Week June 2020:  Applications for Medic Insight will open at 08:00 on Monday 2nd March 2020, and will close at 17:00 on Monday 9th March 2020. It is essential that pupils have an interest in a career in medicine prior to applying for the Medic Insight programme. They should also have predicted grades similar to the entry requirements for medicine (AAAAB for Scottish Highers – this must include Chemistry, with Biology to at least S4 level).  Pupils are required to submit an online application, including their predicted grades. The link to this application form will be available at https://forms.gle/D3Lkbvw67J2v8mPL8. The link to apply will also be found on the Medic Insight Dundee Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MedicInsightDundee/) and Twitter pages (https://twitter.com/Dundee_MI).
