S5 Medic Insight Programme 2021: – Applications for the Medic Insight one week online work experience programme in June 2021 is now open. APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON MONDAY 3rd MAY AT 5pm. This programme is open to current S5 pupils who will be applying to study medicine at university in academic year 2021/22.

Medic Insight Dundee is a student-led society at the University of Dundee that provides school pupils from Tayside, Perth & Kinross, Angus and Fife with an insight into a career in medicine and other healthcare specialties. We liaise with clinicians within NHS Tayside to organise a range of experiences for S5 pupils.

Information from Medic Insight and how to apply:-
We will be running an online work experience programme for those applying to medicine in the academic year 2021/22. This means that current S5 pupils, and S6 pupils who are taking a gap year, are eligible to apply. Please see the attached Application Guide for more information.

The programme will run from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th June 2021. We will host a range of workshops with guest speakers, giving advice for applying to medical school and providing insight into a career as a doctor.

Applications will open on Monday 19th April at 5pm and close on Monday 3rd May at 5pm. Students can apply here: https://dundee.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/medic-insight-dundee-work-experience

We (Medic Insight) will let students know whether or not they have been successful in gaining a place by 28th May and provide the successful applicants with more details nearer the time of the event. Please note that places will not be given on a first come first served basis; we will score each applicant and a decision will be made based on their score.
